It occurred on March 11, 2011, the amount of destroyed coastal municipalities was 110834, partially destroyed 129709, partially damaged 229943. Non-coastal municipalities also got damaged having 6946 of the destroyed, 48530 partially destroyed and 382537 partially damaged.
