Earthquakes - Cascadia
In the Ring of Fire, earthquakes regularly occur, ranging from low to high magnitudes. In this specific area, earthquakes can end up being the greatest loss of life, due to the creation of tsunamis. In September 2011, a 6.4 magnitude earthquake shook the west coast of Vancouver Island, at the Cascade Fault, which could be felt from until the Okanagan, to Seattle, and even Oregon. Fortunately, this rumble did not do any damage. The more frequent, smaller earthquakes gives scientists in this zone the time to prepare for any future damage.
