Weird weather in Canada is getting weirder? Winnipeg and Alberta this month are starting to reach record highs. Sundre, Alberta had a very comfortable 14 C on January 24. Environment
Canada meteorologist Dale Marciski told the CBC, "it's pretty much
assured that we're going to break the record for the warmest January
ever in Winnipeg's history."
The average temperature in Winnipeg in
January has been –7.7 C, while the normal average is -17.8. The absence of real cold
air across the north has been contributed to the unusually warm weather.
