Glacier Landscapes - Mt. Albert Edward
While snowboarding Mt. Washington on Monday, March 5, 2012, I noticed in the mountainous landscape of Strathcona Provincial Park, Mount Albert Edward stands prominent there. Being the sixth highest summit on Vancouver Island, Mount Albert Edward contains many glacier landscape features, including both a famous horn and arete pair. This glacier was created in the last ice age. At the base of the mountain, there is a cirque lake - coincidently named Circlet Lake, which is a nice visit in the summer for this hike.
