Rialto Beach, WA

On Rialto Beach, there is a fine example of a headland that, due to wave refraction, has created a natural arch. Wave action pounding the cliff face erodes areas of soft or weakened rocks. After many more years of this process, the arch will eventually collapse and form a sea stack.
