African Cats: a phenomenom

The African Lion originally ranges from the southern Sahara to South Africa, excluding the Congo Rain Forest Belt. Its main habitat is located on grasslands and open woodlands. One of the adaptations of the Lion is the mane, which helps protect the throat during territorial battles, as well as makes the lion look bigger. The lion's golden colored fur also helps with camouflage, so the lion can blend in with the tropical grassland, or savanna.
