The Tri-State Tornado was by far the deadliest in US history, it occurred on March 18th 1925. It covered 3 states (219 miles) in 3 hours, killing over 695 people and injuring over 2,000 others,. The damage it created was life changing. It is known on the tornado scale as an F5 tornado.
