Hurricane Edna


Hurricane Edna hit the eastern United States in 1954. The storm, at its peak, had winds of up to 195 km/h just north of the Bahamas. It then settled to a category 1 before reaching landfall in Massachusetts on September 11th. Hurricane Edna caused 20 fatalities. This particular hurricane originated in an easterly tropical wave.
